Havent had much stitching time recently so, no updates :0(

Have finished the Fantasy dragon piece for Ceilidh & done a bit on the zodiac, Aquarius piece but, am very behind schedule now......Should have finished Aquarius last month & be half way through another piece by now......Oh well!!!!!

Got quite a bit done this weekend so, the blob now looks like a dragon. Im putting this aside for a bit as Im waiting for some threads to be delivered.

Im now working on my zodiac piece....this is a huge piece consisting of 12 kits Ive stuck on one huge piece of aida. It started as an RR but, due to the overall cost (over £140) I decided not to post it around anymore incase it got lost!!

Im working on Aquarius, at the bottom, at the moment. If I can get 1 kit stitched a month, I can have it finished this year.....stop laughing :0)

Have just managed to finish my flower calander bear for the RR & also finished Cinderella which Im very pleased with as it wasnt ment to be completed til the end of the year.....9 months early, thats a first for me.

Just got some money for my birthday so, have been on an ebay kit finding mission....treated myself to a few...piccies to follow when they turn up :0)

Hiya, well, Ive got the new laptop & its great but, now my camera isnt compatible with Vista, aaarghhh.
Cinderellas coming on really well...I went & bought somemore threads for her from the local shop..wasnt going too but, got bored of waiting for the next RR :0)

Hiya,
Well Im stitching away like a lunatic....Ive now nearly finished the huge block stitch bit (only 15 rows to go....yippeeeeee) but, my laptop has blew up so, I have no way of posting piccies at the moment.
Am waiting for the insurance people to sort out my claim for a new one (I sneezed & dropped it so, thankfully, Im covered)....have lost thousands of x stitch charts I had stored on there though, sob!!!
Anyway, at least Cinderella has nearly got a skirt...I planned to complete that block stitching bit by the end of 2009 & it now looks like it will be finished by the end of January...that has got to be a good result, he he

Hello, Hope everyone had a great xmas & got loads of lovely stitchy pressies.

I was a good girl & santa got me the 'cut thru north pole house' Id been after :0)

Finished of Michaellas Seaside RR piece which has left me with a grand total of 17 completed projects this year....not that impressive as I managed 52 last year, Oh well!!

Have also started my new years resolution early which is to complete a huge piece of plain block stitching for Cinderellas skirt that I have been putting off for years...this is my absolute stitching nightmare as I hate block colouring. Theres about 8000 stitches on it & Im up to row 30!!!!! Wish me luck :0)

Been so busy I forgot all about this!!...Heres the latest update.

Did a bit more work on my tiger then, put it down when Michaellas Seaside RR arrived & have started stitching a sandcastle piece on that for her.

Did a couple of little bits, an xmas mouse & Celtic cross & also finished off the last bit on the Rockin Robin RR for my sister.

Have now started stitching a quick xmas card for my Mum & dad which I hope to finish soon!!

Got the tree sampler finished a few days ago....must have been the fastest finish ever for me, just didnt get around to doing the piccie!!!!

Have been trying to work out what I wanted to stitch since....finally decided to do a bit on my Tiger RR today....it was stitched upto the bottom line, Im now stitching under that....only prob being, Ive lost the main chart & can only stitch the bit that was on the copies sent round with the original RR.

Oh well, it will turn up....somewhere!!!!

Well, as you can see Ive hardly done any stitching this month....this has lots to do with 2 baby puppies Ive acquired which want constant cuddles....they sooooo cute though :0)

On the stitching front, I have joined a new RR with some of my facebook friends. Im doing Disney characters & am stitching Princess Jasmine from Alladdin at the moment on mine.

Looney Tunes Complete at last, Yipee (Oh & a quick update too!!)

Its a miracle, the looney tune RR for my daughters 21st actually got completed on time & she loved it :0) Mum, Dad & Karen got their bits done & Dad got it framed for me fast just in time for Kats Bday dinner. Thanks so much to all my family & CSRR friends who helped along the way with this one, it was well worth it. Ive stuck a piccie up of the Pisces bit aswell that I did (with Mum & Dad).

Back to the Fairies now. Have decided I do like variations but, have gone off of evenweve....have been stitching on far too much aida recently!! Will get it done but, just gonna do a little now & again so I dont get fed up with it.

Have started on my Indian maid last night. She is the 2nd half of a 2 piece chart....the 1st half was done in an RR a while back. Have already managed to lose the red thread Im stitching with at the mo...left it on the arm of the chair so, its obviously got stuck on someones clothes & gone for a walk round the house somewhere...I hate it when that happens!

Well, I been stitching away on Mr Happy then......my variagated threads turned up & I sooooo wanted to have a play with them!!!

Anyway, I was good & finished Mr Happy first...didnt want to but..........now decided variations aint as exciting as I remembered but, interesting....reckon I need to get back into the swing of things again!!!!!

Have started the next piece on the Mr Men Calender, Mr Strong - August but, wont be stitching today as my son has bought me home a lovely puzzle to complete. He has been painting me a pot with 3 owls on top at his ceramic class (perfect for me to keep my threads in) but, he dropped it before he managed to get in the front door.......guess whos gonna have to spend all morning trying to glue it together again!!!

Ive finally finished all I have to do on the Looney RR. Ive completed the backstitch around the edge & on one of the others that hadnt been completed. Ive also stitched most of Pisces so that my Mum & Dad can finish it off & put there names to it....theres a bit of cheating going on here!!

Now, at long last, Im stitching something I want to do....I love the Looney piece but, hate stitching with a deadline so, Im glad its done....Have started working on my Mr Men calender now & have just finished the backstitch on February that someone else left.

Just about done now. My 2 lads have both down their bits. Connor stitched a bit on the Taurus (bugs on the bull) & Chris has done his bit on the Gemini one (Bugs & Daffy together).

Ive managed to get the back stitch done on both of these aswell & also the main centre circles have been completed too.

Now, just need to help Mum & Dad along a bit on the one that they are stitching (Pisces/ Sylvester) for Kat & complete the outside ring backstitch.....Oh yes, & Karen (Aunty) has got to get her bit done too....Phew......23 days & counting down!!!!!

Ive recieved my MS RR home & its looking great.....thanks to all you ladies who stitched on it for me. This is the Margaret Sherry Country Companions Calender. Eight of the pieces have been stitched in this RR.....Ive just got to find the time to stitch the last four, lol.

Six of the squares are now completed. I have to finish the pig one that I started many moons ago & I need to complete the back stitch on the Easter bunny one.....Im working on these 2 at the moment.

OK, as those of you who know me may have guessed, Ive been a tad busy over the last few months so, stitching went out the window!!!! Ive now just about finished all of my exams so, time to get the aida out again :0)

Unfortunatley, the round robin group I belong to has had to close so, Ive recieved quite a few unfinished RRs home......still waiting for my sisters Mr Men calender though.....heavy hint Nicola, Hehe!!

I made the Thumper Xmas card, which I was very pleased with & also made a start on Susies (UK) 12 days of Christmas Calender RR.....Im doing 8 Maids a Milking. Still hoping I might get this finished by the end of the year but, Im not holding my breath!!!

Also started!! another piece for myself which is a Christmas tree shaped sampler.....reckon my new years resolution is to definatley NOT start anymore pieces til at least a couple of my WIPs are completed!!!

Well, as you can see by the major lack of posts, Ive hardly been stitching for the last couple of months.

I have recieved 3 Countries RRs during December, Susans (Canada), Janiens (Belgium) & Terrys (USA).

I have managed to stitch my piece (centre right) on Susans Africa one this week in between the sprouts & mince pies & will try to get at least one of the others done before college starts again.

Im not very well at the moment & have basically been put on bed rest for 2 weeks.....yes doc, haha, I guess you dont have kids!!

Had a lovely suprise in the post yesterday when my Tiger finally came home after his very extended vacation. This was my animal RR that got caught up in customs & sent backwards & forwards between here & the USA a few times. I thought he was lost in the post forever!!!

I finished off a couple of square inches that had been left & as you can see, he looks fantastic. Many thanks to all the girls from CSRR that stitched on him for me.

Now, I just have to get all is body finished!!

Also recieved 2 new RRs. These are Joyces (UK) & Susies (UK) calender RRs. Im really looking forward to stitching on Susies (its Margaret Sherrys 12 days of christmas) as I have this in my 'to do' list too.

Joyces will be interesting aswell as, she hasnt supplied any charts!! A nice little challenge :0)

Ive recieved 2 more calender RRs recently, Janes (France) zodiac one & Nicolas (Australia) Fairys one. Ive also recieved Joys (uk) Countrys one of Scotland.

I treated myself to the Materials pack for the Lavender & lace Winter Angel. Got it on ebay for £4.99, got a real bargain there!! Just need to get te chart now.

Havent posted for ages as Ive just started as a full time student at catering college. Its absolutey crazy busy but, I love it.

Havent had hardly any time for stitching but, have managed to do Susies (uk) Countries RR of Ireland & Ive started on Sues (uk) calender RR. Its the Margaret Sherry Astrocats zodiac which is really lovely.

Also did a bit of work on my own colours of christmas piece a while ago as I fancied a change from all these RRs. Its a gorgeous piece, really easy but, I think, stunning.

Ive just finished Myrnas Open Landscape RR & it looking great. I was a bit worried about this one, thought it was going to take me ages to stitch but, it all came together nicely.

Im stitching on the Looney Zodiac RR again now & hopefully I can get that finished by Tuesday too so, I can send them both on to Sue.

My daughter (much to my suprise) decided that she wanted to help me with some stitching so she took the Angel kit 'is it too late to be good' back home with her. Ive challenged her to get it done by Decmber 1st as, thats when the decorations go up.

Postman bought me a nice suprise yesterday, my 1st calender RR (that was due home about half a year ago!) turned up, fully completed. Myrna had kindly kept hold of it & sorted out all the backstitch & stitched 3 bears for me....I was delighted.

For the last few days Ive been stitching on Myrnas (UK) open/landscape RR, my Looney Zodiac piece & I did a little bit more on my millenium sampler.

Also recieved Susies (uk) Countries RR which is a lovely map of Ireland. I'll post a piccie of that when I start it as Susie hasnt been able to start it herself yet.

Had a lovely parcel from the postman this morning. My Disney 101 Dalmations advent calender & Tatty Ted Christmas RR arrived home this morning. They both look great :0) Both need a bit more work done to them but, I knew this in advance as one of the ladies in both RRs sadly had to drop out. Hopefully, I'll be able to get them both finished before christmas.

Also in the parcel was Nicolas One piece RR. This looks fantastic. The stitching quality is really excellent......I nearly posted a piccie of the back of the work aswell, its so neat!!

The last piccie is my very sad attempt of starting the Looney tunes zodiac RR.....a lot more work needed here I think!!!

Ok, I havent totally lost the plot, Ive just started my Millenium sampler....better late than never. Its my 2nd ever evenweave piece & a type of design Ive never worked on before but, Im thoroughly enjoying it. The plan was to stitch one of the small dated pieces every weekday & one of the horizontal dividing lines every weekend but, as you can see, Im behind already!!

Its taking much longer than I thought so, Im going to have to keep putting it down & getting on with the RRs including, the pictured Looney Tunes zodiac piece that Im starting with the girls as a one piece for my daughters 21st birthday next year.

Took Janes (uk) calender RR with me on holiday but, didnt get the chance to do as much as Id hoped. Im now working on Taurus & Virgo at the same time on it.

Also, recieved a lovely British Isles Map chart from Sew & sew this morning to add to my ever increasing stash!!

Im off for a fantastic week of Sun, Sea, Sand & (hopefully) stitching so, thought Id do a quick update before I go.

Finished the writing on Susies (UK) Margaret Sherry RR & got that posted off.

Im now working on Virgo on Janes (UK) Calender/zodiac RR. I think this will be a stunner when its all completed. Having trouble stitching it though as Jane stitches the opposite way round to me....Oh well, it will be worth it :0)

Well, after the fastest weekend stitching ever, Ive hardly touched a needle in the last 10 days. My birds decided to attempt to lay eggs.....with numerous problems so, Ive been fussing around them all week!!

Had a lovely suprise when my mermaid Fantasy 2 RR arrived home. It looks just about finished but, it does need another part panel stitched on the right hand side & a fair bit of back stitch. Looks fantastic anyway so, many thanks to the ladies from CSRR who sticthed on it for me, I was expecting to have to do a lot more of it myself :0)

Also recieved 2 Margaret Sherry RRs. Susies (uk) is 'Mums favourite sayings'....a chart I have also wanted to stitch for quite a while & Nicola (Australia) is again doing seperate panels to be made into pillows for her local kids hospital.

Ive done a very small amount of stitching on Susans (Canada) Disney RR this week. It Doc from Snow White & 7 Dwarfs.....or at least it will be if I get a move on!!

Dont know how but, that has got to be the fasted stitching Ive ever done. Since this morning, Ive completed the Mr Men & Margaret Sherry pieces I was intending to stitch over the weekend. I'll have to find something else to stitch tonight/tomorrow now :0)

Finally finished the Gingerbread man & I think he's fantastic. Definatley going to put this chart on my 'to do' list.

Have started Susies (UK) open RR & am stitching a piece from the Margaret Sherry Country friends calender. Its the Easter 'be happy' rabbit in flower pot.

Also recieved another Calender RR from my sister. Id already stitched most of my piece on it earlier this year. Just need to finish off a tiny bit of x stitch & backstitch & then Mr Greedy will be ready. Hope to have both of these pieces finished over the weekend.

Ive just about finished the gingerbread man now. All the cross stitch is done, just need to finish the backstitch. Didnt get any stitching time last weekend so, its running a bit late.

Ive also recieved Susans (Canada) Teddy & Disney RR. These are the last 2 I need to stitch on in these RRS. Just need to decide what to stitch on them both for her now.

Have just recieved my Open theme 'Fishy Friends' RR back from Sue & its looking great. Ive just got to finish of the title now & my Sister has to finish of her one then its all done :0)

Have recieved 2 more RRs, Susie (UK) open RR & Jane (UK) Zodiac piece....which is very gorgeous & going straight on my 'to do' list.

I have alredy stitched on Susies open piece a few months ago but, shes sending it round again to get it finished, I did the cow the first time.

Mickeys coming along nicely now but, I will put him down for a few days to get the latest Margaret Sherry one ready for Friday posting.

Have finished Joyces (Wales) Open RR. Did a rather sweet little sunflower for her. Have also started Susans (Canada) Gingerbread One piece RR.

The best news is one of my friends has found the Mickey Mouse Sorcerers Apprentice chart that Ive wanted for ages so, Ive started that piece just for me (for a change!!) Ive found a lovely Gold Lurex piece of aida & am expecting this to look fantastic when finished.

Well, that took a lot longer than I expected but, the Cuddly Cats (ie blob!) are finally finished. Though I love the chart, I found this piece quite a struggle as I had expected it only to take a few days & its mucked my stitching schedule up. Going to have to find a quick one now, probably Joyces open RR, to get me back on track.

On a plus note, the one piece Gingerbread men RR has arrived, well ahead of schedule & Im looking forward to that one....its so cute!!!

Ok, it looks awful at the moment but, its the start of Lynns animal RR. Its 'Cuddly cats' from Margaret Sherrys 2003 Cattitudes calendar.

Finished off the crafty cat. Its the first time Ive done any couching & Im very pleased with the results. Think I might have to stitch him again for me now :0)

Well, I finished the 2nd square on Ruths Fantasy RR & will post it home to her ASAP. I started & finished Nicolas (Australia) Teddy RR. I havent done the backstitch but, nobody else has either. Think I may try to get all of it done tomorrow for everyone seeing its for a good cause :0)

Have started Susans Margaret Sherry RR. Im really enjoying this one. Doing the Cratfy Cat that Ive wanted to stitch for ages, its coming along very fast!!

Have also recieved Annes (canada) next Margaret Sherry Piece & Joyces (Uk) Open RR which is anything outddors. Have posted a piccie of the 2 pieces already stitched on this one.

Been busy with a lot of stitching recently so no time for blogging so, heres an update of last weeks stitching. Finished Nicolas Mickey mouse pillow, very sweet. Have also sticthed a square for Susans whimsical animal open RR. A lovely piece of a cat & bird in cage. Finished one of Ruths Fantasy squares & started the next one, that should be finished tomorrow. Have recieved my Sisters xmas RR back aswell. Its not quite complete so, Im going to get that done for her ASAP.

Im stopping work on my Margaret Sherry Pig for the moment as the rest of my pieces have been posted so, theres no hurry for it now.

Ive finished Joys Teddy piece (I did the number 10 bear) & will be posting it to Canada tomorrow along with her dalmation Disney piece. I wouldnt normally stitch a piece like these bears. I think this is why I enjoy RRs so much, it gives you the chance to try out different style patterns. Im now starting on my Margaret Sherry RR as this is due soon. Im stitching her Country Friends Calender pieces.

Country Companions finally finished

Have finally finished the background for my Country Companions, open RR piece so, will be sending this on to Sue today. Have had to put Pooh bear down again now as the RRs are arriving fast. Ive recieved Ruths (USA) Fantasy piece which I have already started on at the bottom & Susans (Canada) Open RR. She has chosen 'whimsical animals' as her theme & we are all stitching on seperate aida squares which she will be making up into a quilt. The Cat & mouse piccie is the 1st square that Susan stitched herself. I will be getting on with Joys Teddy RR this week as its due to be posted soon.

Have finished my part on Joys (UK) Disney RR & the Dalmations looking really cute. Started doing the rabbit on my country companions RR but, havent been feeling too well so, got out the Pooh Bear pillow Im stitching for the Royal Brisbane Childrens Hospital, Australia. Nice big bit of block colouring I dont have to concentrate to hard on!!! Nicola from our CSRR group is attempting to stitch 1 pillow for every child there by October, expected to be about 180 pillows!!

Had a lovely surprise today when I recieved a cross stitched birthday card from my Mum. Its the first time anyone has ever cross stitched me something & ment especially more as Mum has problems with her eye sight when stitching.

Finished off Sues Calender bear over the weekend so, that will be sent home to her soon. Ive stitched the main banner, February & April bear on this piece.

Am planning to finish off my part on Ruths Christmas tree of sheep tomorrow.

The postman had fun yesterday when 3 more RRs were delivered at once. The Teddy bear piece is Joys (UK) & so is the odd looking brown blob. This is actually the corner of a piano with Disneys 101 Dalmation climbin all over it. The other gorgeous piece is Lynns(UK) animal RR piece.

Ive finished up all I need to do on the background of my Country Companions piece (though I would like to stitch the Rabbits head aswell if I get time). Im putting this one down for now & continuing on Sues Bear calender.

Had a nice suprise this morning when my 'About You' RR arrived home (I hate Four letter words). I was expecting to still need to do one part myself but, the girls have near enough completed it for me....just a few extra washing up bubbles to put in. Many thanks to all at CSRR who stitched on it for me.

The Country Companions piece has come on well over the weekend & Ive finally finished all the snow at the bottom. It was rather boring doing all that block stitching but, I can get on with the more interesting bits now.

Sisters Birthday

Was my sisters birthday today & I bought her all the threads/beads etc for her latest project (she loves stitching too).

For Christmas last year, I stitched her the Gargoyle Kiss piece pictured that shed wanted for ages. Suprisingly, even though Ive stitched for over 20 years, it was my first evenweave piece. My daughter bought her the chart for the other matching Gargoyle piece pictured.

Now she has all the threads aswell, shes got no excuse for not starting :0)

Heres a quick look at the round robins I have with me at the moment. The Calender of Pigs (just started) is mine. The animals piece is Susans (Canada)...I stitched Tom Mouse, bottom right. The Christmas Tree of Sheep is Ruths (USA). The Fantasy Piece is Susies (UK) & the Calender of Bears is Sues (UK). I dont have too many with me at the moment which is lucky as there are quite a few new RRs starting soon & I need to get them ready. I am involved with a lot more but, they are flying about around the world at the moment....Piccies will follow as & when they arrive :0)
